Someone Stole My Words

It happens every day on the Internet, and I suspect it happens so frequently that no one even knows how often it occurs.  All the same when someone rips off what I write to you it makes me really mad.

I just discovered that Deyan Leng of No.44 HuaYuan North Road B# 217 BeiJing,  100084 China  stole a post of mine and stuck it on his blog. Grrr…

So how do I know this?  Well there was a weird and unintended keyword phrase in my Google Analytics for finding a post I did on home based match up services.  The search was “cutting edge media as your home business scam” I decided to see if anyone else ranked for that term because if lots of people thought the program was a scam I wanted to be able to let readers know.  That is when I discovered one blog post doing better than mine for that phrase.   www.ideaforaffiliate.com/2007/09/10/take-the-free-home-business-match-up-service/

There’s a great free domain lookup tool for tracking down who owns what domains at Domain Tools and in addition to telling me that the domain tool was owned by Leng it also gave me all the following information.

Registered through: GoDaddy.com, Inc. (http://www.godaddy.com)

Created on: 20-Aug-07
Expires on: 21-Aug-08

Domain servers in listed order:
NS1.HOSTMONSTER.COM
NS2.HOSTMONSTER.COM

It doesn’t really matter if you understand all of that, but it is a wealth of information.  It is certainly enough to contact his hosting account owner at HOSTMONSTER.Com and to  file a complaint against him with Google For a Digital Millennium Copyright Act infridgement.  In addition to them removing his listing they may wish to take action against his Adsense account.

So that’s my day, how’s yours :-)
