And it’s all free.
Well I’ve made a couple of other mentions about Ed Dale’s thirty day challenge in this blog, but I thought I’d give a quick update.
Last week Ed Dale and Dan Raine ran into a couple of technical difficulties when they out raced the Simpson Movie for website popularity. It seems so many people are interested in learning from them that they ran out of server space and they had some big servers already setup to handle the traffic.
So why are so many people interested in this course? It’s free, there are absolutely no strings attached, it’s being put on by two of the best internet marketers in the world, and it used what the course is all about Web 2.0 to generate a buzz. Brilliant really.
Can you still get in on it? Yes. Ed has said at least twice now that the people who did the best in last years challenge completely changed course in the middle and basicly started over. However, this weekend is in my opinion your best chance to jump on board and get caught up.
Due to the technical difficulties they have been forced to slow down for the weekend and this will give late comers a chance to get in without penalty. A really quick synopsis of what you would need to do to catch up would be to download some software, join some web 2.0 sites like facebook, digg, stumbleupon, etc., brainstorm a list of things your interested in and get on a team at the forums. There are lots of peole still joining so there are still lots of teams forming. If you could do those things in a weekend you’d be caught up.
Now while I would suggest watching all of Ed’s videos that you can there are a couple of shortcuts to get you up to speed. There’s a list of the links to the online videos and podcasts that kicked this whole thing off here.
The biggest help for getting caught up is that Dan Raine has actually built a free tool bar that already is linked to most if not all of the tools for the challenge.
That’s it and your in. It’s an exciting oportunity and while I’ll keep you updated from time to time I really suggest you jump in there if you’re interested in internet markegint
