On April 30th we received an email from A woman named Anne who was dealing with World Market System trying to get her money back after feeling pressured to sign up. We asked Anne if we could use our communications to help you out if you’re having a similar problem and she agreed. Here’s her story.
I was rung up one saturday morning from a sleep by a rep from WMS, they got me to listen to a tape over the phone (i’m in Australia) Next thing I handed over my visa details..
My pc crashed and I couldn’t do much…
2 weeks later they left a message on my answering machine, Cliff my coach was eager to make me money.
I looked them up on the net and realised what I had done.
So I rang Cliff and told him I wanted out and a refund.
He told me to talk to management..I sent an email immediately
saying I wanted out, the program is not for me. That in Oz we have a cooling off period and are governed by the Office of fair trading..
I was rung by Wally (managent) he left a message, I rang back and left him a message saying I wanted out, this is not for me. That I want a refund.
I asked if WBS was registered with the BBB,? I added that I’d looked up the site of the state attorney in Arizona…
and for him to email me..
So this morning he rang again, and left a message saying how much he wanted to speak with me.
What more can I do?I don’t want to speak to the guy I just want to cancel an get my money back.
Their webpages that are part of the deal are already made up waiting for a domain name to slot in.. Thus far I have not sought to name anything. I read the terms and conditions of the affiliates that come with the webpage..I’d need to be a lawyer specializing in contract law to understand them.See when it came time to click *yes* I have read and understand to the terms and conditions
I couldn’t go ahead with it,Because I didn’t.
I wrote them this as well. So why can’t they see I want out.?
Sorry to take up too much of your time.
Any suggestions about what to do next?
I’d appreciate some guidance, thank you
Our Reply to Anne
We suggested Anne call her credit card company and have them do a charge back against this merchant. Though we couldn’t make her in promises on behalf of her credit card company we were pretty sure if they investigated WMS they would credit her back the charges.
Anne’s Latest Message of Hope
I thought I’d give you an update.
Today WMS refunded me the full $477.00
So I guess there is a ray of light at the end of the tunnel.
Again I want to thank you for your help and support.
Maybe this gives hope to others that a refund is possible.
Kindest Regards
Anne.
