What is Internet Marketing?

Published by

The term ‘internet marketing’ gets thrown around a lot, and if you don’t know what it means, you’re pretty much plunged into the darkness of the marketing sector. So what exactly encompasses Internet Marketing, and who are these gurus trying to teach us everything they know?

What It Covers…

The term internet marketing covers a lot – basically, any marketing of products or services over the web. I know, that’s a wide category – and there’s no questioning if you don’t know much about it, you’re going to be lost.

Internet marketing, in its strictest terms, isn’t just building a website, or promoting that website. Internet marketing is promoting an organization, or business, and that organizations value. However, very few of those who speak of internet marketing use this definition – it’s best to speak much more broadly.

Basically, to put it in an easy way to understand, if you have a product that you’re marketing online – that’s internet marketing! If you have a service that you want to market through the web to reach more customers… it’s all internet marketing. Easy, huh?

What are the Main Advantages of Marketing on the Web?

Most people, or businesses, who know little of internet marketing are pretty convinced that the market is far too saturated with other products to be bothered – but this simply isn’t the case.

It’s true that there are thousands, if not millions, of products available on the web. These include health supplements, ebooks, DVDs, movies, consulting services… just about anything you can think of, you can find on the web with a little searching. But you also have to realize the millions upon millions of people who get online each and every day, searching for something specific. And many of those have a credit card waiting, willing to purchase something they need – or think they need.

The huge advantage of internet marketing is this; you can reach thousands of people, and in ways that you never could before. Present videos, audio, reports, details of everything you need… you’re no long constrained to an ad in the paper, or the short snippet of a television commercial.

Another huge benefit of internet marketing is the price – it’s considerably less expensive to market your product online than traditional marketing. You can reach thousands with very little funding, unlike the hit and miss of traditional marketing. You spend less than half of a traditional budget, and get double the results.

There’s also the matter of knowing your market – your niche, or specific market area, is something you need to know intimately in order to be able to market to it. The internet makes knowing this easier, too!

Using existing data, tools you can find free online, and reports from companies that specialize in information, you can compile a great deal of information about any market you plan to target – from age groups to interest, and more. Knowing such specific information about specific niches can increase your sales dramatically. You’d never guess the huge jump in sales you’ll experience, just by knowing who you’re selling to.

What are Some of the Limitations of Internet Marketing?

Internet marketing is incredible – and there are a massive amounts of huge benefits… but there are also some limitations that many internet marketers struggle with everyday.

One of these limits is the fact that many elder people simply don’t use the internet. This can mean that, if your target market is 70 or older, you might have a harder time marketing your product.

Another big barrier is that, even after all of these years of fast internet being available, many people have dial up connections. If your product involves any sort of downloading, or you dream of a large, complicated website, you’re cutting out a portion of a market. Dial up connections are largely unreliable, and very slow.

Overall…

If you have a product, and you want to market it online, you need to get familiar with the basics of internet marketing. It isn’t hard, and it shouldn’t take you long to know your ropes… but knowing it is important, even vital, to having any sort of success with the internet and a product.

And there’s not much more about it!

I agree that internet marketing is important and effective; however it is also very difficult to get top placement, very expensive & can be difficult to manage (for most novices). For those looking for a less expensive, highly effective alternative…I suggest checking out voice broadcasting! I found this product (via a voice broadcast) several months ago & couldn’t be happier with the results and the ease! Since then I’ve actually used this to grow my home based business AND have an income stream from the product (I BUZZ PRO). Best of all, it’s a very cost effective way to get your message out to the masses!!!!

No more cold-calling, bugging your family or friends, or expensive ineffective marketing. I Buzz Pro is a computer based, push-button system that allows you to do your own 30 (60+) seconds “commercial” on your product or service (works great for any kind of business or organizations too) – at the end of your message you leave a directive…”press 1 for more information – which will then ring back to you directly (RED HOT lead to learn more about your products or service) – or press 8 to opt out”. This scrubs for “Do not Call”. I typically get an 8 – 15% response rate of people calling ME back to hear more!!

Additionally, the product comes with MILLIONS of FREE LEADS in the back office (Consumer Leads sorted by zip codes & Business to Business by SIC codes) and/or is a wholesaler of quality leads to ensure the success of your business with the push of a button (easy easy easy to use)!

Use this as a marketing tool to explode your home-based business AND you can also make 100% (paid instantly) if you’d like to use this as a business opportunity/additional $$. I will provide you all the training & support needed to use the product or to resell.

Thank you & best wishes to your business,

    Valerie

In our minds this is a highly questionable comment which appears to be an affiliate advertisement. We’re leaving it in place (having removed the link) for others to comment on. Is ibuzzpro legitimate? Have you had any experience with it? If so please tell the community here about what your experience has been.
